Trevor is seeking a skilled and dedicated part-time Assistant Athletic Trainer for the 2025-2026 school year. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will play a crucial role in supporting our student-athletes, ensuring they can perform at their best while minimizing risk of injury. Responsibilities include medical coverage for all sports teams, immediate care and treatment for injuries, and attendance at practices and games. There may also be opportunities for this individual to coach and teach physical education and health classes.

 

Typical hours are 2:00–7:00 pm on weekdays, with occasional time on Saturdays. Ideal candidates will have athletic training experience in a secondary school setting. They will have a strong desire to work with a diverse student body and faculty in an open and collaborative environment.

 

Qualifications include:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.

  • Current New York State Athletic Trainer’s License.

  • Current certification NATA/BOC.

  • Certified CPR/AED/First Aid for Professional Rescuer; certified CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor preferred.

  • Proven ability to form strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Flexibility, creativity, patience, and a sense of humor. 

 

The salary range for this position is $50–$100 per hour. When extending an offer for employment, Trevor Day School bases the salary upon several factors that include (but are not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education, training, key skills, and peer salary equity.
