,Middle School Spanish Teacher
Trevor Day School seeks candidates for a full-time Middle School Spanish teacher to teach five sections of 6th- and 7th-grade Spanish for the 2024–2025 academic year. World Language classes are activity-based classes that are complemented by the use of both digital and print materials. As much as possible, classes are taught in an immersion style. Experience with integrating technology in World Language teaching and the creative use of this technology is essential for this position. Candidates with teaching experience are preferred.
Qualifications include:

Native-level fluency is preferred.

Experience with the incorporation of all four modalities of language (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) into instruction.

Familiarity with and commitment to inquiry-based learning.

Varied methods of assessing student learning and providing effective feedback.

Successful integration of technology into the curriculum.

Ability to teach a range of learning styles and be comfortable with differentiated instruction.

Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and their families.

Interest in professional growth and school-wide initiatives.
The full-time salary range for this position is $53,000–$169,000, as per the school’s salary scale. When extending an offer for employment, Trevor Day School bases the salary upon several factors that include (but are not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education, training, key skills, and peer salary equity. The school also offers a competitive benefits package.
